Our Roots

nxtime was founded in 2019 by Ray Rubio (singer/songwriter/producer), Nate Christensen (guitarist/producer), Imhotep Williams (drummer), and Liam Cashin (guitarist). The goal - deliver upbeat, danceable rhythms and modern yet nostalgic melodies. Sprinkle in some classic R&B and a little 80’s pop synth-soaked tones and nxtime found their sound. 

Under the mentorship of renowned veteran producer, Mike Rogers (“Groove is in the Heart” - Deee-Lite), nxtime has released 14 songs and has over two million streams on Spotify. The group’s talent and work-ethic are what make Rogers excited to work with them. “nxtime is one of those unique bands that is musically very accessible but has a level of sophistication that you rarely find in today’s pop music.”

When the weather is good, they can regularly be seen hustling in NYC’s Central Park for a large crowd and have performed several well received shows at The Bowery Electric, Chelsea Music Hall, and Rockwood Music Hall.
